I love to study about leadership. It motivates me to try to be better than I presently am by unleashing my potential to unlock the gateway to opportunities.
My favorite leadership book is within the pages of the Bible – the book of Nehemiah. Nehemiah was a Jewish man who saw a problem in his homeland of Jerusalem. He had never set foot there, but he made the decision to provide a solution in the country of his heritage rather than ignoring the challenge and continuing to live in comfort.
Real leaders will often use the same challenges that stop others to build a platform of success for themselves. This is precisely the method that Nehemiah used to transform the city of Jerusalem and the hearts of its inhabitants.
In only 52 days, he rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem with teamwork and established a legacy of leadership that lives until this very day!
What challenges could you solve today that would make the world a better place tomorrow and build a personal platform of success?
Dust off your Bible, find a cozy spot and read and/or re-read Nehemiah. Ask God to show you the principles that can help you to transform your life!
Now go forth and make it a great day!
