We have recently started back our Wednesday night program and I wanted to tell you a little bit about the purpose of Wednesday nights. Wednesday night student worship is a welcoming and energetic environment where our students can hang out, worship, and learn together about God’s word. These gatherings include both middle and high school students and consist of powerful messages and engaging conversation. We meet weekly in the Chapel which gives us a lot of space to move around and have a lot of fun.
UNITED is ultimately all about worship. I believe worship is the first and foremost reason we were created. I love seeing middle school students come in and learn from the older students what worship is really like in a group setting. I get excited as these students discover that God loves them and as they learn how to express that love back. By the time our students graduate they will have heard my definition of worship approximately 65 times. “Worship – is simply bringing God pleasure, nothing more, nothing less.” If you leave Piedmont Church and your high school understanding how to worship God and the importance of it I think that will be a win for the Kingdom.
We have some amazing adults ready to pour into your child all year long. They are committed to your student and their growth. I pray that you will be committed to getting them there each week. I believe the long term benefits of being connected to a student ministry far out way the difficulty of getting there each week. Hope to see you soon at our next UNITED Night.
